Unquestionably a collector’s item, this concho belt is a creation by the widely revered and highly sought-after Navajo artisan Larry Moses Begay (of the famed Begay family). The wide leather strap features a remarkable 15 alternating conchos and butterfly spacers, each intricately embellished with stampwork and repousse details, and adorned with several small stones of bright blue turquoise set in tiny serrated bezels. The complementing buckle is a square frame-style concho with dozens of the turquoise cabochons finished with repousse mustache corners. The style is stunning, the craftsman is collectible, and the concho belt is the quintessential cowgirl classic – there is simply no downside in investing in this collector’s piece.
